Challenge
At the start of 2024 IMI Plc released a new set of identities, naming conventions and brand guidelines for all of the brands within IMI Plc (IMI Critical, Norgren etc). Over a short space of time all of these brands and websites needed to be updated and visible to the public. Our task was to update the new website that we had recently taken live for IMI Critical and evolve it into IMI Process Automation (the new name for IMI Critical).
Solution
The existing website would be retained, but all logos, colours and typography needed to be updated to the new branding. Working with the client we used our prototypes from IMI Critical to quickly enable us to try out and explore various colour treatments and options. These where then shared at board level and after a few rounds, allowed us to quickly gain approval. This fast turnaround approach allowed us to determine the look for not on the IMI Process Automation website but also for IMI Norgren and several of the other brands as the digital rollout hadn’t been finalised across the group.
Result
The result was a quick and seamless transition from the light colour palette of dark greys, white and blue to the new colour family of jet, stone and purple, utilising the Museo Sans family of fonts, shared across the group.
