The existing site needed to evolve to reflect the changing marketplace and the growth of IMI plc. The technology and its supporting systems needed to be overhauled to support the business better in order to deliver a better e-commerce experience for the user. As part of this process we revitalised the websites appearance and user interface to aid speed of decision making and purchasing.

Working with all of the key stakeholders a series of design and IA exercises were undertaken to define streamlined journeys through the site, removing distractions and focussing the user on the purpose of their visit. These culminated in a set of working prototypes that could be evaluated through user testing, allowing us to fine tune the experience before progressing into development. Core deliveries were targeted for each market and the roll out to all territories carried out.

A visually appealing site, that utilises white space to create a calm user journey, but one which still offers the technical content that purchasing engineers require. Login is now handled in a faster, simplified manner using Auth0 across all platforms. Pages are now created through content modules to enable the Norgren team to have greater flexibility and control over pages and page designs. Users have the ability to control what and how they view the content via grid or list views and overall the site is now much simpler, with fewer styles of controls. The website will roll out across geographical regions to support the wider business aims throughout 2022.
